The end of 2016 marked our first full year of business and we've got so much to look back on. Our first year of business brought us so much excitement and happiness, as well as a few challenges to help us grow. One of the greatest joys for us this year was getting to grown within our community: doing work for for local businesses & individuals alike, getting to know other young creatives and business owners and of course, sharing everything as we worked away. Although we try to keep up with all platforms, life often gets too busy, but we are truly hooked on Instagram. With that in mind, we thought we'd share our top 9 Instagram posts of the year, as well as the behind-the-scenes details. The count down is on!
On our recent trip to Toronto, the focus definitely wasn't on work. A whirlwind 4 days were spent between Toronto and picturesque Aaron, Ontario, celebrating a family wedding and all the fun that came with it. Although we definitely weren't photographing that wedding, we still brought our cameras along for the ride. This short but sweet session with Jess Undecided had us so glad we did and we think you'll understand why.
As much as we love what we do, sometimes working all the time can be a bit of a grind. I think we all daydream about getting away every now and then. My get away day dreams usually involve remote locations, beautiful beaches and untouched landscapes and usually I'm picturing some place far, far away. Recently though, we had the chance to get away to the 100 Wild Islands for the day. And when I say get away, I mean really get away and experience everything I day dream about in person without even leaving the Halifax Regional Municipality. Don't believe me? Just keep reading.
Summertime, and the living was... busy? For some people, summer is a season of long lazy days, for us it's pretty much our busiest time of the year. Don't get us wrong, we're not complaining and we managed to squeeze in a couple of beach days in and amongst a busy work schedule but for the most part our view of summer was through our camera lenses. That meant we didn't have time to keep up with our blog. Now that we're moving through life at a more normal pace, we're excited to have time to share some of our favourite summer photos and we couldn't think of a better place to start than Ian & Meg's beautiful backyard wedding. Cue all the heart eyes, please.
It feels like I'm always saying this, but we've been super crazy busy yet again. Even so, we haven't forgotten about our blogger sessions series and picking up with Lesley from Blare June was the perfect way to get back into the swing of things- just look at that smile, can you imagine not having fun with this lady?
