Allison Basha is a Toronto-based, Newfoundland-born actor with a lot of love for Nova Scotia. While Allison was in town working for the annual Atlantic Film Festival we spent some time with her to create some updated portraits of her for her website and social media platforms.
We wanted to make sure Allison was comfortable while still creating dramatic photographs that would showcase her beauty and versatility. We asked Allison to let us know where she would be most at ease and what kind of atmosphere she wanted for her photographs. We find this is a great way to settle on locations for portrait-shoots, especially for people who aren't super comfortable in front of the camera.
Of course, Allison is comfortable in front of the camera and we love that. Lot Six and Stillwell Bar were perfect locations, and we all got to enjoy a couple of drinks together as well. Cheers to that. After we were done with our downtown location we headed to Lawrencetown for some softer portraits en plein air. We love how at ease Allison looks in both settings. None of us had realized it, but it was also the night of the super-blood-moon-eclipse (am I saying it right?) and Lawrencetown was an incredibleplace to enjoy it.
If you're interested in getting portraits taken and don't know where to start, we'd love to talk about your options. Drop us a line any time.
