Living in a province like Nova Scotia, we can definitely say there's no place like home. This is something that My Home Apparel definitely understands. We spent a refreshing day in May at one of our favourite local beaches with an amazing local crew and are so excited to share the results.
My Home Apparel is a fast growing brand based out of Truro, Nova Scotia. Their apparel offers everyone the opportunity to share their home pride while looking good. Oh, and did we mention that a portion of profits goes towards ending homelessness in Canada, so you can feel while you look good? Not too shabby, we say.
All of our beach babes for this shoot are real folks from Halifax and Truro. Seriously, we had no idea we were living in a city full of undercover supermodels, but now we know. Behind the scenes we had more great local talent helping with outfit changes, blanket holding, snack preparing and more. My Home Apparel owner Miriah was on hand and beyond organized, making sure the afternoon ran smoothly. Ben and Kelsey, of Ben Brush Design and Foxhound Collection respectively, were miracle assistants. And of course, our team of models were troopers, because as beautiful as our Atlantic beaches are they can be more than a bit chilly.
The diversity of the landscape allowed for us to move to different backdrops throughout the day; ocean, beach and fields. We loved the transition and spending the whole day on location meant we got to take advantage of constantly changing quality of light. We loved all the photos but that soft, warm sunset light in the grass though! It was just too good.
At the end of the day we were covered in sand, a little bit sunburnt and very happy. Our favourite shot of the day was this impromptu group shot taken when all was said and done, featuring the whole team (minus the photographers, of course). Are those squad goals or what?
We'll be posting with another beachy session soon, but in the meantime be sure to check out more shots from this beach day and find more on point styles by visiting My Home Apparel.
